Bikini Beat publishes pictures of lots of beautiful women, but we’re especially grateful that Bikini Beat fan Matt tipped us off to a special beauty named Jessica Mitchell. As Jessica writes of herself at Model Mayhem:
I was born and raised in the Portland, Oregon area and moved down to southern California in 2007, to pursue modeling more seriously. I haven’t done a lot of print modeling — mostly various runway, fashion events, and other special events (car shows, etc)…
In addition to glamour, I’d like to do print work as well. I’m unable to do any runway any longer — I miss it! About nine months after I moved down to southern Cal, I was riding on the back of my friends Harley, and we were struck by a car that ran a red light. I ended up losing my left leg, just above my knee as a result. So, no more runway for me. I’m not at all self conscious about my leg - I’m fine with it, so I hope you (as a photographer) will be too.
Jessica is a reminder that life isn’t about the good breaks or bad breaks you get, but how you respond to them. I admire Jessica’s strength and wish her the best of luck in her career. Follow Jessica on Twitter.
