Amy Winehouse Wasn’t Adopting a Child, You Don’t Say?

Over the weekend, it was rumored that Amy Winehouse was in the final stages of adopting a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia (above) which people actually took seriously even though, at the most smallest, practically non-existent levels, there’s no way any form of government would’ve signed off on this. In fact, because I’m an optimist, I like to believe there’d first be talk of just shooting the kid and saving everyone the rush of finding her facedown in a bathtub full of heroin. But, happy ending, Amy’s rep is denying the entire story which is more than likely a shakedown of her estate. TMZ reports:

The Sunday Mirror reported Dannika Augustine and her grandmother both confirmed that Amy was about to begin the adoption process … and both of Dannika’s parents had signed off on the plan.
But Amy’s rep tells TMZ … “It’s not true” … adding, “I think [Amy] might have met her in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her.”

For the record, Amy spent most of the past few years in St. Lucia boosting their drug economy and peeing standing up, so I completely believe she told this little girl she was going to adopt her. However, I also believe she told her other things like that time she ate a cat, why Pete Doherty is a figment of her imagination so powerful other people can see him and how she’s going to live forever like Keith Richards. So, of those four things, at least two had to be a lie. It’s your basic junkie math.

All you really need to do is touch them to be able to tell if she’s had “some work done.” But let’s be honest, you’re not going to have that opportunity very often and definitely not with most of the chicks you’re checking out. But if you do get to cop a feel, fake breasts will be much more firm than the real thing, almost hard inside. Not such a big deal when they look good, but who wants to play with a couple of balloons filled with crap?

Shape

Breasts, thankfully, come in every shape and size. But real breasts are never perfectly round. If she’s standing upright, most real breasts will be round at the bottom, peak at the nipple and flat on top. But if it looks like she’s smuggling a couple of grapefruits under her sweater at all times, those puppies are fake.

Larger breasts will sag over time, so if she’s sporting double-Ds and they’re holding up her chin without a bra, they’re fake. Smaller breasts, which are less affected by gravity, can maintain a nice round shape, but nobody gets implants smaller than a C-cup (a little more than a handful), so if she’s got B’s or less, count on those being real – and awesome!

Telling whether or not breasts are fake when they’re tragically stuffed in a bra can be especially difficult, since you don’t get to see their true shape. Which brings us to the Hang. When a girl with real ones bends over or leans forward, they go forward too, away from the body.

If they’re big enough, they should start to look kind of like a water balloon held at the knot, getting more bulbous at the bottom, when looking at them from the front or the side. Fake ones, on the other hand, will get ripples or bumps in the skin toward the bottom of the breasts, created by an unnatural pull on the skin. So if it looks like her ta-tas are about to be ripped off by gravity, she’s trying to fool you.

Flop

When a woman lies on her back, her boobs should change shape. If they look like they’re standing at attention, they’re fake – no question about it. If they’re real, they’ll flatten-out, at least a bit, and sag to the sides, toward her armpits. This one is hard to see in pictures, since most models hold their boobs together to keep this from happening and make them look bigger – and faker – for the photo.

Nipple

One of the best ways to tell if her t*ts are fake is to look at the nipples. A number of things can go awry with these little pleasure buttons. (COED’s a SFW site, so you won’t see many of those here – sorry…) First, if her nipples aren’t symmetrically placed on the boobs, there’s a good chance the boobs are fake; unaltered nips grow more or less in the same spot on both breasts not like this: (*)(.) And of course, if the nipples are constantly harder than diamonds, the boobs probably cost as much as one.

Also, implants are often inserted through a lesion around the nipple, so if she’s got a scar here (or in the armpit, around the bottom of the breasts or even the near the belly button), then the mystery is probably solved. However, some women who’ve had lumps removed from their breasts for medical reasons can have a similar scar, so you better give those bad boys a feel, just to be sure.

Motion

Real breasts move. They jiggle and sway and swing. And we love every single second of it. Fake boobs, on the other hand, don’t do a damn thing. Unfortunately, you can’t tell how a set of knockers knock just by looking at (most) pictures. So this doesn’t do you any good there.

But if you can see the lady in question in action, watch for what the breasts do during any quick movements. If she’s kept what her momma gave ‘er, then they should heave, change shape and yes, bounce. If they don’t, they’re fake. But in the end, boobs are boobs and, fake or not, we’re always happy to have a pair around.

So that pretty much sums it up. But here’s a couple more tidbits to keep in mind: Real boobs change size all the time, depending on the time of the month, hormones, diet, health, weight, etc…So just because they look small one day and big the next doesn’t mean she got a boob-job – she might just be getting a ‘visit from Aunt Flo.‘

Also, women with implants often cannot breastfeed, so if you think Angleina Jolie has fake ones, you are (thankfully) mistaken. And because of a loss in body fat (which breast partly are) women who are extremely athletic rarely have big ones unless, of course, they’re not real. So memorize these few perameters (and the ones above) and you’ll be able to spot a fake pair from a mile away.

Bikinis Make Men See Women as Objects, Scans Confirm

Sexy women in bikinis really do inspire some men to see them as objects, according to a new study of male behavior.

Brain scans revealed that when men are shown pictures of scantily clad women, the region of the brain associated with tool use lights up.

Men were also more likely to associate images of sexualized women with first-person action verbs such as "I push, I grasp, I handle," said lead researcher Susan Fiske, a psychologist at Princeton University.

And in a "shocking" finding, Fiske noted, some of the men studied showed no activity in the part of the brain that usually responds when a person ponders another's intentions.

This means that these men see women "as sexually inviting, but they are not thinking about their minds," Fiske said. "The lack of activation in this social cognition area is really odd, because it hardly ever happens."

Dehumanizing

Fiske and colleagues asked 21 heterosexual male volunteers to first take a test that scores people based on different types of sexist attitudes. The subjects were then shown pictures of both skimpily dressed and fully clothed men and women.

Most of the men best remembered headless photographs of women in bikinis, even if they'd only seen the image for two-tenths of a second, Fiske reported this weekend in Chicago during the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

And the men who scored higher as "hostile sexists"—those who view women as controlling and invaders of male space—didn't show brain activity that indicates they saw the women in bikinis as humans with thoughts and intentions.

Scientists have seen this absence of activation only once before, in a study where people were shown off-putting photographs of homeless people and drug addicts.

If a similar study were done with women, Fiske told National Geographic News, it would be hard to predict whether a woman shown a scantily clad male body would dehumanize him in the same way.

Evolutionary psychologists have proposed that women tend to look for mates who have wealth and power, so some of Fiske's colleagues have suggested running a similar test where women are shown pictures of men next to expensive cars or other affluent symbols.

But Fiske doesn't think such an experiment would work the same way, because women usually react to men they desire by "interpreting their minds, thinking about what they're interested in, and then trying to please them," she said.

I was born and raised in the Portland, Oregon area and moved down to southern California in 2007, to pursue modeling more seriously. I haven’t done a lot of print modeling — mostly various runway, fashion events, and other special events (car shows, etc)…
In addition to glamour, I’d like to do print work as well. I’m unable to do any runway any longer — I miss it! About nine months after I moved down to southern Cal, I was riding on the back of my friends Harley, and we were struck by a car that ran a red light. I ended up losing my left leg, just above my knee as a result. So, no more runway for me. I’m not at all self conscious about my leg - I’m fine with it, so I hope you (as a photographer) will be too.

A bikini or two-piece is a type of women's swimsuit with two separate parts, one covering the breasts (optionally in the case of the Monokini), the other the groin (and optionally the buttocks), leaving an uncovered area between the two garments. It is often worn in hot weather or while swimming. The shapes of both parts of a bikini closely resemble women's underwear, and the lower part of a bikini can range from the more revealing thong or g-string to briefs and modest square-cut shorts.

The bikini was invented by French engineer Louis Réard in 1946 and he named it after Bikini Atoll in the Pacific, the site of the Operation Crossroads nuclear weapon test on July 1, 1946. The reasoning for the name was that the burst of excitement created by it would be like a nuclear device. The Monokini, a bikini variant, derives its name as a back formation from bikini, interpreting the first syllable as the Latin prefix bi- meaning "two" or "doubled", and substituting for it mono- meaning "one". Jacques Heim called his bikini precursor the Atome, named for its size, and Louis Réard claimed to have "split the Atome" to make it smaller.

The bikini is the most popular beachwear around the globe, which is, according to French fashion historian Olivier Saillard, due to "the power of women, and not the power of fashion". As he explains, "The emancipation of swimwear has always been linked to the emancipation of women." By the mid 2000s bikinis had become a US$811 million business annually, according to the NPD Group, a consumer and retail information company. As movie costumes go, it was both small and fleeting, occupying only two minutes of screen time in Return of the Jedi, which many call the weakest of the original Star Wars films.

But nearly a quarter-century later, Princess Leia's slave-girl costume occupies a unique position in pop culture and shows no signs of slipping.

Knockoffs of the golden bikini are a staple of science fiction and comic book conventions. Instructions for home-brew Leia outfits propagate online like Ewoks in heat, and ready-made copies can be purchased from several websites. An episode of Friends titled "The One with the Princess Leia Fantasy" showcased the phenomenon, climaxing with a bun-haired Jennifer Aniston donning the skimpy outfit.

There's no doubt that the sight of Carrie Fisher in the gold sci-fi swimsuit was burned into the sweaty subconscious of a generation of fanboys hitting puberty in the spring of 1983. But, remarkably, it's women for whom the costume holds the most enduring meaning today.

"I saw the movie when I was seven and I was absolutely thrilled by Leia -- what a wonderful character," says Amira Sa'id, a dancer who has used a Leia bikini in her performances. "Jabba put her into the outfit to humiliate her, but Leia was such a strong character, her will made the costume empowering."

The website, Leia's Metal Bikini, features over a hundred female fans who model the costume, ranging from some who could almost pass for Fisher, to others who look nothing like the actress. Many weren't even born when the movie came out. Another site offers instructions on making your own costume, which involves finding a "Leia-shaped person" and plastering her torso with modeling clay.

Sa'id created a special belly dance as a tribute to Leia, which she recently performed in a costume contest where she won first place.

The Leia bikini was created by costume designer Aggie Guerard Rodgers, whose Hollywood career -- three decades and running -- began with Star Wars producer George Lucas' American Graffiti in 1975. She recalls that Lucas gave her only general instructions about the scene in Jabba's palace, but clearly wanted something special for the costume.

"His eyes started sparkling when we talked about it," says Rodgers.

The costume department made a mold of Fisher's torso for a custom fit, and Rodgers says there were multiple versions of the outfit to accommodate different scenes. "One was a hard metal piece that (Fisher) wore when she was not doing any stunts, and one was a rubber piece that we formed so that she would be comfortable when doing stunts," she says. "It was lined with leather so it wouldn't chafe her body."

Within weeks of the movie's premiere, fan-made versions of the costume began appearing at science fiction conventions.

It could have been a completely different costume. "I wanted 25 yards of fabric to be flowing through the scene," Rodgers says of her original conception. "But we couldnt make that work."

"Most of the crew are men, and they really enjoyed being on the set," Rodgers adds.

She says the costume was inspired by the work of artist Frank Frazetta. "He really loved (the female) form," she says. "The fact that (Leia's costume is) such a female sensual costume, I think is terrific."

Her advice for fans who want to make their own? "There's a lot of stretchy fabric out there. I would use rubberized material from anywhere. And hand stitch it so there are no big explosions when you're walking about."

Ever been close enough to a catwalk with a bikini show going on? Well, I’ve been. It’s not like I think that was the most intense experience of my life or the most sophisticated thing I ever saw or the hottest thing on earth, but this is about the bikini wearing models and the things one might think when exposed to such beauty. Maybe because I could never imagine such thoughts would ever cross my mind maybe because it was really… interesting.

As the lights go dim and the music changes, you wait. With anticipation. With great anticipation. The level of anticipation is directly linked to the amount of male spectators. The larger the number of men in the room, the bigger the anticipation. And then it starts. One girl steps out of the dark at the far end of the podium.

For a few moments she pauses in one posture. And then she starts walking. The first thing one notices (in fact stares at, honestly speaking for myself) is not the color of the hairor the color of the bikini. The body is the first image to print itself in your memory. The legs. Her breasts. The image becomes complete within the next few seconds as she stands there in the spotlight from the close edge of the catwalk.

In that exact moment, as the flashes go wild and you can’t actually see her face. Now she has done one yet very mechanical turn and she goes back towards the point where she started. You don’t pay too many seconds to focusing on her face. You notice her ass. Her legs again. Her high heeled shoes. And then you notice the way her body shines in the dim light. You can almost imagine how touching her skin would feel.

At the far end of the catwalk, she strikes another pose for a few seconds. The blitzkrieg starts all over gain. A new girl just out of the dark from behind the screen steps close to the first one. And, as the first girl disappears back in the dark, the second one does the exact same routine she did.

The same thing repeats with each new girl that appears on the catwalk. But you suddenly seem to realize that no human skin shines like that. And you can almost feel the way your hands would feel on that skin. Like on a decaying statue. Their skin is covered with something very hard to explain: a mixture of powder and oil that shines and covers all the imperfections. It’s not like in the "not glamorous" porn movies where you can see bruises and scars. Their skin is perfect. Not at all human, if you think about it. And then, suddenly a familiar face appears on the catwalk. It’s the first girl who appeared into the glowing dim lights.

So as the catwalk goes on you suddenly start to notice and even remember the faces. And you come to terms with their not-always-as-beautiful-as-their-bodies faces. And you feel like watching a robot show. It’s the so sexy heels that make them move like alien robots. And yet it is still captivating. After the first round of swimming suits as the second time any of the models walks on the podium you try to remember who came after her. Because you know you’ll get to see all of them again. And in a corner of your mind you already have a favorites list.

As you see them the second time, you might even notice what kind of bikini they wear. But you see again one of the most beautiful of the models and you start thinking about how it would feel. How would you feel to date her, love her. Touch her. Have sex with her. Strangely enough in your daydreams their skin is still perfect, they are still wearing make up. As you figure this out you realize you can’t possibly imagine any of them looking all natural, no make up, no skin lotion and no high heels.

And then the music climaxes and as they all get to circle the podium you realize it’s over. Applause. The last ones head towards the dark. Applause. Blitzkrieg. And it’s over. For a few seconds the lights dim even more. Just to turn bright slowly again. The catwalk is over.

Cutting back on sugar that turns to fat will reduce your calorie intake and help you lose weight. You will also have more energy. That extra energy can be used to motivate you to get moving more. Fewer calories with more exercise is going to result in losing weight as well as toning up your body. Losing weight is great, but you do not want loose, flappy skin hanging out of your bikini.

While any type of exercise will help you to lose weight and tone your body, some exercises with work better than others to get your body into bikini shape. First, focus on your upper body. Doing light aerobics with weights up to five pounds will help loosen you up and firm you up. You might even consider some basic weight lifting two or three times per week. For the lower body, walking and running are great types of exercise. You will want to include sit ups and lunges to help firm up your stomach and thighs. Taebo is a great workout for your entire body that is really fun. It is also a great cardio workout.

The key is to find a diet plan that is healthy that you will be satisfied with. If you feel you are missing out, then your willpower will not last. You want to find changes that you can stick with for the rest of your life. The same is true with exercise. The key is to find types of exercise that are going to motivate you to continue. You want to look forward to your workout rather than dread it.

Making such changes is not easy. However, keep in mind the type of bikini you want to wear this summer for days when you have lost all motivation. These changes will make you feel better, have more energy, live a healthier lifestyle, and most of all look great in your new bikini!
